Many people poo-poo the notion that the swimming leg of a triathlon is important, but it is. Starting your day with a great swim sets you up for the rest of the event. Whilst many see the swim leg of a triathlon as a "necessary evil", it doesn't have to be that way. With a few refinements to your stroke, some tailored training sessions for your swim-specific fitness, and learning how to adapt your stroke for the open water (and a wetsuit!), you will see improvements to your swim, bike and run times!
